Weekend in Minneapolis

Well, curling is finally over and after several busy weeks of work for Jody, we took a much needed family trip to MSP. The trip was all about the kids, from the hotel that is home to America's largest indoor water park to Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America.

Jody booked rooms at a Radisson hotel that has a massive indoor water park... Tucker and Lily had a blast! We made several trips to the "pool" during our visit and even tried out the family raft ride. It is a ten-story drop that winds down for over a mile. We were clutching the sides of our raft so hard that I thought it would pop!

We spent Saturday at Nickelodeon Universe at the Mall of America. It has been recently renovated and re-branded with the kid's favorite characters from Spongebob to Dora. Tucker showed no fear in riding the "Pepsi Orange Crush" roller coaster alone, Lily loved the Backyardigans tree swing, and Jody took them both on the Avitar log chute. I think they wore out the barcode on their "unlimited" wrist bands. We ended the day at the mall with a trip to Build-A-Bear where the kids spent their piggy bank savings on something that they both needed more of (sarcasm), stuffed animals.

The weekend was time well spent, together as a family!

Mils,

Those days of family va-kays seem so far away, but I guess they will be here before we know it!! The kids look so happy....you are a super-mom for sure. And I'm sure Jody is a super dad too. We miss you!
